EMPLOYMENT - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does Incident Catering Services do?

  • We do large-scale catering, mobile sanitation services, and emergency response resources in remote locations and under adverse conditions.

What will my wage be?

  • New employees start in the Utility/New Hire position and are then evaluated. Depending on your skills, you may then be moved to other positions.

How long will my employment last?

  • Some jobs have a planned duration and can last from a few days to as long as a week. However, many jobs are unpredictable and can last anywhere from 2 days to 45 days.

Can I leave the site during a job?

  • Due to the fact that we are an emergency response company, it's in our best interest and yours if you remain available on-site, 24 hours a day. However, during jobs with long durations, R&R is usually arranged.

What will my duties be on-site?

  • You may be asked to take on additional responsibilities outside of the position you originally signed up for or were assigned to. You have the option to accept or decline these new responsibilities, however everyone's job placement is based on the company's evaluation of your qualifications and abilities.

Who pays for my travel?

  • Incident Catering Services will pay for your travel at the beginning and end of a job. If you leave early from a job site or at an unscheduled time, you are responsible for the cost.

How will I travel?

  • Travel arrangements depend on your proximity to the job site. However, in most cases you will fly.

Where will I stay?

  • There are usually mobile bunks available on-site. In some instances, or by personal preference, you may need to or prefer to stay in a tent.
